Fresh Polymarket wallets: insiders or noise?
New wallets making big bets get shared as insider signals. Here's what thousands of graded bets say about wallet age.
Why fresh wallets get attention
A wallet created days before a large, correct bet looks like someone with inside knowledge. A few famous cases made this a popular screen.
How we measure it
For each graded $10k+ bet we look up when the wallet first traded on Polymarket. Fresh means under 7 days before the bet. We compare its win rate with the win rate the entry price implied.
What we found
Across about 9,500 bets with known wallet age (October 2026), fresh wallets did slightly worse than established ones against the price, not better. Fresh wallets on long shots under 30¢ showed no clear edge either.
What that doesn't rule out
Real insiders exist; they are just rare enough that 'new wallet, big bet' is a weak screen on its own. Most fresh big bettors are new users, not informed ones.
Where to look instead
The fresh-wallets page lists new wallets with large bets, and the findings page keeps the age numbers current as more wallets are checked.
