How Polymarket markets resolve
What happens between a market closing and a trade being graded, and why some flags stay pending for a while.
Close vs resolution
A market can stop trading before its outcome is known. Resolution is the point where the winning outcome is confirmed and shares pay out $1 or $0.
Why resolution can take time
Some markets wait for official results, and outcomes can be disputed before they are finalized. Until then, WhaleGrader shows the flag as pending.
How WhaleGrader grades
Once Polymarket's market data reports a resolved outcome, every flag on that market is marked called or missed. Flags placed less than an hour before start or close are shown but not scored.
Where to check
Each flag page shows the market close time, the resolved outcome when available, and whether it counts toward the score.
